Back to the Random Playlist & Dagan surfing with Dustin Tucker

Okay. Since many of you can no longer handle my WICKED soundtrack, I am switching it back over to my randoms. Just so I don't have to hear about it anymore. I don't care what anyone says about it though ... it will never get old to me. I am still absolutely in love with it!

Alright .. and just so I don't post a pointless blog, here's a little clip of some of Dagan's surf session with Dusty from yesterday. :)I love my demanding little man, and watching him do what he loves ...

WICKED!!!

I finally was able to experience seeing "WICKED" live ... and it was AMAZING! I loved every minute of it. By far my favorite musical to date. I am switching up my playlist to the soundtrack ... the only thing is I prefer the voices of the characters who are now staring in it verses the original cast (which are on the soundtrack).
I put my favorite song on there twice .. first and last.

OCCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dagan got to hang on the beach with one of his biggest surfing heros this last weekend! He was a bit excited .. to say the least .. By the time we were ready to leave he was covered in Occy's autograph. He'd had him sign every article of clothing he had on, both his hands, his arms, his skateboard, his surfboard, his helmet, and three posters. :)
Curran was happy cause he had a cute little lady to hang with on the beach and keep him occupied ... worked out quite nicely for me. The two of them were WAY too cute!
Good times!

CURRAN'S BIRTHDAY!!

Let's see ... We had a long drive to Utah ... Followed by a few busy days getting things ready for the wedding ... Christmas Eve ... Santa made it! ... Christmas morning ... Cherise's wedding ... Ward's Birthday ... New Year's Eve ... & Dusty's Birthday all within one week. Somewhere in between all of that craziness, my little three year old turned four! It's so crazy that he's already so big and it's happened so fast. I remember the day that we brought him home from the hospital, and how yummy he was to us all. It's so surreal ... the whole being a Mom and having children thing. I can't believe my baby is FOUR, but at the same time I can't remember ever not having him in my life. It seems like he's always been right here with me. Hmm ... My wild little Munchkin!

With all of the chaos that was going on around the Hunter home, I didn't get too many pictures of him on his big day. I did get a lot of video, but I'm not blog tech enough to know how to post videos just yet.

We did make sure that his day was a special one for him though ...

~First we made him homemade waffles with strawberries & whip cream for breakfast

~Next we went over to my old Elementary School, Lone Peak, for some sledding fun

~Then home for his favorite lunch

~Followed by presents and cake

~Out to dinner

~And ending the night with a trip to the movie theater to see "Bedtime Stories" ... Which he loved!

All in all he had a great day ... I am so lucky to have had that wild little man in my life these past four years! I love you Curran and can't wait to see what the future holds for you! XOXO

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Christmas isn't showy gifts
Or glittering decoration;
It's honoring our Savior, Jesus Christ
In humble adoration.

It's serving those less fortunate,
Meeting their needs before our own;
It's making sure at Christmas time
That no one is alone.

It's taking what we would have spent
On things that no one needs,
And using it to help someone
With service and good deeds.

Our Savior showed us how to live
With charity, faith and service.
It makes the holidays a joy,
More peaceful, and less nervous.

So let's remember Christmas is
About our Savior's birth;
That's the way to happiness,
The way to peace on earth.

I love Christmas time more than anything! To me, New Years Day is just the start of another countdown until December.

This Christmas I am trying to make sure to implement some things in my life and in my home, so I don't forget what the true meaning of the holiday is. Also, so my children will know what it's really all about. I so easily become distracted and lose focus on what's really important with all of the craziness that goes on this time of year. Hopefully, doing these few things will help me out a bit ...

*Spending lots of quality time with my children. Children are the purest form of innocence.
*Reading the Christmas story to my kids and sharing my Christmas memories with them.
*Putting on Christmas music, especially songs like "Silent Night," and playing it loud and singing along.
*Spending time with my family and those I love.
*Listening to stories of their life and just enjoying each other's company.
*Making a big part of the season about giving to those who are in need, and making sure my children are also contributing and feeling the blessings of service.
*Focusing on the needs of others instead of myself.
*Going to church. What better place is there to be to feel the love of Jesus Christ and remind myself & family of the true meaning of Christmas?
*Christmas caroling!
*Counting my blessings!
Merry Christmas Everyone!! MUAH!
